Leadership Kenosha — October 2024

LK_Oct24

The October session of Leadership Kenosha was packed with both learning and exploration. In the morning, our participants had the privilege of engaging with Marvin Bembry, President of MKB Leadership Transformation and an Executive Director of the Maxwell Leadership Certified Team. With over 20 years of corporate leadership experience, Marvin shared valuable insights into the role of inclusive leadership in today's organizations. He led our cohort through an interactive discussion on the six traits of inclusive leadership, helping participants reflect on their own leadership styles and how they can foster a more inclusive environment. Through his engaging facilitation, Marvin encouraged open dialogue, making the topic both approachable and impactful for all attendees.

In the afternoon, participants dove into a fun and adventurous City Scoping activity. This unique team-building experience had them exploring Kenosha while uncovering hidden gems and iconic spots around the city. Teams worked together to answer questions like, "What is Kenosha’s most unique landmark?", "What’s Kenosha’s best-kept secret?", and, "What are you most proud of in Kenosha?" Along the way, they snapped photos at each location, creating lasting memories. Not only did participants get to know Kenosha in new ways, but they also bonded as teams, discovering more about their community and each other in the process.

Overall, the October session offered a perfect blend of leadership development and community exploration. The morning’s focus on inclusive leadership sparked thoughtful reflection, while the afternoon City Scoping brought fun, discovery, and stronger team connections. It was a day of learning, bonding, and exploring Kenosha in new ways.
