The Leadership Kenosha Class of 2025 kicked things off with a fabulous retreat! As one participant commented, “We made 24 friends in 24 hours.” From learning their Real Colors, to getting matched with their team and project, to tackling some trust-building challenges at OWLS, this group has bonded and set themselves up for a wonderful year of developing their leadership and teamwork skills.
Leadership Kenosha is proud to partner with amazing community organizations every year to provide hands-on project management experience to LK participants. This year’s partners are Habitat for Humanity of Kenosha, Kenosha Community Sailing Center, Open Wings Learning Community, Shalom Center, and United Way of Kenosha County. LK participants will be building volunteer bases, helping with marketing projects, planning events, and more. Our teams make a real difference in Kenosha!
The second retreat day at Outdoor Wisconsin Leadership School was a great opportunity for our Leadership Kenosha participants to build trust, develop as a team, and jumpstart lifelong friendships. We had a blast working with our expert facilitator, Tony Toto, and we also conquered an LK first – the 12-foot wall! Each participant found some way to challenge themselves and step outside their comfort zone. Some faced their fears, others accomplished something they didn’t think was possible, and others offered critical support to those around them. This is a tightknit team ready to tackle their year in Leadership Kenosha with confidence and camaraderie!
