The Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that David Strash has been selected as the Chamber’s new President & CEO. On June 30th, the Chamber’s Board of Directors voted to approve Strash for the position after a search committee conducted an extensive regional search. Strash will begin work in his new position on July 19th.
“It is a true honor to be selected by the committee to lead the Chamber,” said David Strash. “I’m humbled at the opportunity to follow in Lou Molitor’s footsteps. I look forward to working with my Board of Directors and staff in growing the Chamber membership and what we have to offer members and prospective members.”
David has a long history with the Chamber having volunteered his service as a director or committee member since 1999. He has chaired the Chamber Expo Committee for the last eight years and completed a term as Chair of the Chamber Board of Directors in 2020. His professional experience includes a long tenure at the Kenosha News as an Account Executive and an extensive sales background, most recently with Encylon, Inc.
“It certainly was no easy task to find just the right person but with Dave’s experience and enthusiasm, we know he’s the guy for the job. We are very excited to see Dave continue on the success of the Chamber and to take it to the next level,” said Amanda Blommel, Chair of the Chamber Board of Directors.
The Chamber President & CEO will oversee a staff of 3 and all operations. David will work with the Board of Directors in growing the organization and lead the Chamber’s mission to engage and connect members with the greater community.
