On Thursday, September 27, 2018, the new session of Leadership Kenosha started off with a two-day retreat. The first day of the retreat took place at the Colergét Conference Center. The day included icebreakers, a personality test, and learning more about the program and the agenda for the next nine months.
On Friday, we all met at Camp Wonderland. The day began with trust-building activities designed to help us get to know each other better and learn how to work together. After those activities, the facilitator led us outside where two ropes courses were waiting for us. At the first one, a low ropes course, we separated into two teams. This exercise then brought us back together as a big group and allowed us to strategize and work together as a team.
Then, we moved to a high ropes course. This was a great experience that really pushed our limits and we got to know our team better and added a little wow factor into the day.
The two-day retreat was full of surprises each day. It left everyone excited for what is to come next in the program, and at the end of the day, we got to know a bit more about ourselves and about each other.
