The 2018 Kenosha Expo Health & Home Show, presented by Kenosha Subaru and AM 1050 WLIP, is a family-friendly, fun and informative opportunity to meet the many businesses and organizations that make the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce such a strong association. This community event will showcase Member businesses and organizations and will be held this Saturday and Sunday, March 3 & 4, 2018, from 10:00am to 4:00pm both days at University of Wisconsin-Parkside’s Student Activity Center Fieldhouse, 4000 County Hwy JR, Somers, WI (far west side of the Kenosha campus.)
The Kenosha Community Health Fair, presented by Aurora Health Care and sponsored by TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union and Snap-On Tools Corporation, has interactive services and health screenings that are FREE to Expo visitors. These include Carotid artery screening, blood pressure checks, hearing evaluations, hearing aid cleanings, spinal nerve screening, sinus/otolaryngology screenings, medication list reviews, balance testing, speech sound screenings, distance vision screenings, foot screenings, chair massages, and much more. In addition to the health screenings, Aurora Health Care will have demonstrations of the newest member of their surgical team…The da Vinci Xi Robotic Surgical System. Aurora Health Care has announced they will have live interactive demonstrations by their surgeons. Topics covered will be Hyperbaric Medicine & Wound Care and Joint Pain and Arthritis.
There’s fun for the whole family at Expo! The Family Activity Area, sponsored by the Kenosha Area Noon Optimist Club, features local non-profits and civic organizations geared toward kids and families. There will be fun games, t-shirt giveaways, raffles and more! We will also be welcoming back the Kenosha Garden Railroad Society’s amazing model train display.
2018 Kenosha Expo Health & Home Show also features the Great Kenosha Raffle, presented by First American Bank. The raffle is your chance to win great prizes and support the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund which awards four college scholarships to Kenosha County High School Seniors.
There is plenty to see this year in the Expo and we will have live demonstrations in the Demonstration Area. Demonstrations include Kenosha Police Canine Unit, Step By Step Dance Academy Class Performance, Phoenix Martial Arts Academy Class, DIY by Off Job Larry, and Women’s Self Defense by Phoenix Martial Arts Academy. While the 2018 Kenosha Expo Health & Home Show is produced by the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce, the event has a dedicated committee focused on the event. The Committee Chair is David Strash of Kenosha News who is also on the Marketing subcommittee, the Chair of the Family Activity Area is Larry Nelson of Bane Nelson, the Chair of the Great Kenosha Raffle is Wendy Gauss of Team Volkmar at RE/Max Newport Elite, and general committee members include Amanda Blommel of David Insurance and Shelly Floreani of Southern Lakes Credit Union. The Chamber team focused on producing the Kenosha Expo each year is President and CEO Lou Molitor, Membership and Event Coordinator Emily Stipan, Graphic Designer Mike Mertz, and Receptionist Nancy Perkins.
