Committees
Executive Committee
Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Director Officers are appointed to the Executive Committee and meet monthly to determine and approve strategic direction of the Chamber. The committee reviews, evaluates and decides issues of strategic importance including strategic planning, financing, personnel, asset management and collaborative relationships.
Ambassador/Membership Committee
Ambassadors serve as volunteers and are the viable and visible “goodwill arm” of the chamber and are instrumental in the promotion of the chamber and its members. The ambassadors constantly set a positive stage for new membership growth and existing membership retention. Ambassadors assist in welcoming new members/businesses through events such as ribbon cuttings, ground breakings and open houses.
Publications/Public Relations/Marketing Committee
This committee reviews, develops, and approves all advertising, media, and marketing efforts to ensure continuity between the Chamber’s mission and all publications and media. In addition, this committee will oversee major events and business to business activity including business tradeshows, the Annual Business Awards Dinner, the Annual Scholarship Golf Outing, the business directory, newsletters and the website.
Economic Development/Government Action/Legislative Committee
This committee develops a cooperative plan of action for diversified economic development with community leaders, local businesses and business leaders and local government. All entities participate in the development of an Economic Development Plan of Action. This committee coordinates periodic government focus breakfast meetings for the entire membership specific to economic development. The committee also develops programs to retain local workforce, supports downtown revitalization efforts, and any other programs that benefit the industrial/manufacturing community.
Education/Leadership Development Committee
The Education Committee strives to bring about a greater understanding that businesses can work together with all education levels to find solutions to the challenges within the community. This committee plans, evaluates and reviews member training programs and opportunities as well as develop new programs to meet members' needs.
